The Arizona Science Center is a 120,000-square-foot facility that houses both permanent and traveling exhibitions. While the hands-on exhibits are geared toward elementary-school-aged children, the science presented will educate and entertain guests of all ages. A first-time visitor without children might spend two or three hours here, while a family visiting for the first time could probably make a day of the trip. The Science Center houses a five-story IMAX screen, a computerized planetarium, classrooms, a gift shop and a food court. Valley residents should consider annual membership as a more cost-effective way to visit frequently.
